Join SACCA as they team up with our friends at 2 Chicks in a Boat to make some fun fishing memories! Bring the whole family and some friends along too for a fin-tastic fishing tournament on Alum Creek Lake!

  • Time: Tournament begins at “Safelight Start” and concludes at 3:00 PM.
  • Location: New Galena Boat Ramp, 4550 Africa Rd. Lewis Center, OH 43035
  • Registration: On-site registration begins at 5:00 AM.
  • Cost: $100 per boat
  • Awards: Prizes available for everyone!

Cash or checks are accepted and must be written to SACCA. This event is tax-deductible because the Scioto Area Corps Cooperating Association is a non-profit organization.

RULES

Official tournament rules can be found at corpsdams.org.

  1. All state and local laws must be observed and obeyed.
  2. Any participant cited during Tournament hours for a violation of state, marine, or fishing laws will be disqualified.
  3. Any time the internal combustion motor is on, both participants must have a USCG-approved PFD on and securely fastened; the only exception is when idling.
  4. Operators must have the kill switch armed with a lanyard firmly secured to the operator.
  5. All boats must be propeller-driven, at least 16 feet in length, and equipped with an aerated live well or aerated container.
  6. Motor size must not exceed 250 HP and must match the US Coast Guard maximum horsepower rating.
  7. Running lights must be operational and on at launch and be used during all times that visibility is reduced.
  8. Fishing is permitted anywhere within the tournament waters or connecting waters accessible by boat. No contestant is allowed to fish within 50 yards of a public gas dock, the weigh-in area, or any designated “No Fishing” area.
  9. Fishing is not allowed within 50 yards of another competitor’s boat that was first anchored.
  10. Contestants must leave and return to the official checkpoint by boat.
  11. You may fish by yourself, with a family member, or a friend.
  12. Parents may fish with their child (age 10 or below); however, no more than 3 anglers per boat.
  13. Pre-tournament meeting will be held prior to launch. Tournament Directors (2 Chicks In A Boat) reserve the right to interpret all rules.
  14. All live wells must be checked by tournament personnel prior to launch.
  15. Boat take-off positions will be assigned in the order they are received.
  16. Only artificial lures (with the exception of pork trailers) are permitted. Trolling is prohibited.
  17. Only one rod/reel per individual may be used at any one time. All bass must be caught alive in a sporting manner.
  18. Daily limit is 5 bass per team (12-inch legal length). The 6th bass must be culled immediately. Short fish penalties apply.
  19. A penalty of 8 ounces per dead fish will be deducted from total weight. Dead fish cannot be weighed for “Big Bass.”
  20. A courtesy measuring board will be available; tournament directors have the final say on measurements.
  21. Late arrivals will be penalized 1 lb. per minute and disqualified after 5 minutes.
  22. All bass will be returned to tournament waters if they are in good health.
  23. Ties may result in split prize money or be decided by a coin flip.
  24. All protests must be made within 10 minutes after weigh-in.
  25. Violation of any rules may result in disqualification.
