Join SACCA as they team up with our friends at 2 Chicks in a Boat to
make some fun fishing memories! Bring the whole family and some friends along too for a fin-tastic fishing tournament on Alum Creek Lake!

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

Tournament begins at “safe light” and will conclude at 3PM.

On-site registration begins at 5AM at the Cheshire Boat ramp; cash or checks are accepted and must be written to SACCA.

RULES:

1. All state and local laws must be observed and obeyed. 

2. Any participant cited by cited during Tournament hours for a violation of state, marine or fishing laws will be disqualified. 

3. Any time the internal combustion motor is on, both participants must have a USCG-approved PFD on and securely fastened; the only exception is when idling. 

4. Operators must have the kill switch armed with a lanyard firmly secured to the operator. 

5. All boats must be propeller-driven, at least 16 feet in length, and equipped with an aerated live well or aerated container. 

6. Motor size must not exceed 250 HP and must match the US Coast Guard maximum horsepower rating. 

7. Running lights must be operational and on at launch and be used during all times that visibility is reduced. 

8. Fishing is permitted anywhere within the tournament waters or connecting waters accessible by boat during specified times. No contestant is allowed to fish within 50 yards of a public gas dock, the weigh-in area, and any area that has been designated “No Fishing” area by the governing body of the lake or river or the Tournament Directors. 

9. Fishing is not allowed within 50 yards of another competitor’s boat, which was first anchored. A boat is considered anchored only if it is tied to an object, or has an anchor rope over its side, with the trolling motor out of the water.  Power poles are considered to be an anchor. 

10.Contestants must leave and return to the official checkpoint by boat. In the event of equipment failure or emergency, there shall be two permitted methods of returning to the check-in. (1) By both partners remaining in their boat and being towed by water or (2) By one partner entering the boat of another tournament contestant with their day’s catch. Both teams’ fish must be kept separate. 

11.You may fish by yourself, with a family member or a friend. 

12.Parents may fish with their child, age 10 or below. However, no more than 3 anglers per boat.

13.Pre-tournament meeting will be one-half hour before launch. Tournament hours are 7:00-3:00 p.m. At least one member from each team must attend the meeting. Tournament Directors, 2 Chicks In A Boat, reserved the right to interpret all rules when questioned. 

14.All live wells must be checked by tournament personnel prior to putting the boat into the water. 

15.Boat take-off positions will be assigned in the order they are received. Entries and fees accepted on the morning of the event will be assigned a boat position. 

16.Only artificial lures, with the exception of pork trailers, will be permitted.  Trolling as a method of fishing is prohibited. 

17.Only one casting or spinning rod per individual (8ft. maximum from butt of handle to the rod tip) and reel per individual may be used at any one time. All other types are prohibited. Only one rod per person is permitted in use at any time during the tournament. All bass must be caught alive in a sporting manner. 

18.Daily limit will be 5 bass per team – largemouth or smallmouth or a combination of both. All bass must be of legal length, 12 inches. The 6th bass must be culled immediately. Weighing in a short fish will be penalized by one pound per short fish. 

19.A penalty of eight ounces per dead fish will be deducted from the total weight.  You cannot weigh in a dead fish for Big Bass. 

20.A courtesy measuring board will be set up at each Tournament for your convenience. Please measure all fish before they come to the scales. Any fish that are doubtful of making the legal length will be measured. Once the fish are taken at the weigh-in table, only the tournament directors will be allowed to handle the fish. 

21.One (1) lb. from local weight of fish will be deducted for each minute the team is late and the team will be disqualified after five minutes late. 

22.All bass will be returned to the Tournament waters if found to be in good shape and expected to live. 

23.In case of ties in the tournament, contestants may split prize money or determine winning position based on a coin flip. 

24.All protests must be made within 10 minutes after the weigh-in time.

25.Violation of any of these rules may be cause for disqualification from this tournament.
